SAMANTHA & JAC – MARRIED
Samantha can still recall the exact night she and Jac first met: March 16, 2019. Samantha could be seen waiting nervously for her first date with Jac when he walked in. The minute Samantha made eye contact with him, she knew he was going to be “the one!”
Fast forward: How did these two come to be engaged? Samantha and Jac’s planned trip to Arizona almost came to a halt when COVID crept up, but Jac was determined they would go. Samantha couldn’t help but wonder: why was he being so insistent?
A hike at Devil’s Tower in Sedona provided the perfect backdrop for a sunny, peaceful hike. On the way up, Samantha and Jac thought they stumbled upon a proposal, however it was for not and little did Samantha know that she herself was about to experience that elation; hiking for a bit longer saw them pausing to take in the scenery. As they gazed out over a ledge at the breathtaking views, Jac grabbed Samantha’s hand, knelt down on one knee, and held out a ring to place on her finger.
The ring Jac held out was unique for a few reasons: Jac had created it himself, and the diamonds were not just any regular diamonds. Jac had taken the extra steps to ensure the ring was perfect for Samantha. There were two sparkling stones nestled into the center of the ring: one from his late great grandmother’s ring, and one from Samantha’s late great grandmother’s ring. How amazing and sweet is Jac?! Samantha said yes to Jac while slipping the past onto her finger and lifting her eyes to their future together.
After several days of worrisome rain, it ceased for Samantha and Jac’s day. Samantha and Jac had a gorgeous outside wedding at the Reed farm. The space was alongside a glistening, peaceful pond; it was perfect for their day: the sun made its appearance during the ceremony and sparkled off the pond, dancing lightly through the air, causing all attending to smile at the beautiful day.
Black and burgundy were interwoven throughout the day in the form of the bridesmaids dresses, bouquets, and decorations. The bridesmaids danced around in soft, flowing black dresses from Kenney Blue, clutching dried burgundy babies breath bouquets in their hands. Samantha and her girls were complete with hair and make up prepared by Caylee Laux of Picture Perfect Salon & Tan.
Samantha spun through the whole day in a stunning Morille wedding gown from Sarah’s Bridal and Jac was dressed smartly in a burgundy and black tux from Skeffingtons.
Surrounded by family and friends, the ceremony took place at 4 in the afternoon. Samantha and Jac tied the wedding cross during the ceremony to complete their unity – not only as husband and wife, but as a family. The reception was overflowing with food, dancing , and laughter as their DJ: Jakob Adam played their requested music.
