I had a blast photographing Abby and Gavin and Abby’s parent’s back yard was the perfect setting for the final pictures of their session.
The day started out cloudy and we started earlier than we anticipated but the sun came out smiling down on Abby and Gavin and we had a beautiful afternoon for all their photos!
Abby and Gavin met at college in Ohio a few years ago. Abby switched her major from nursing to environmental science and with Gavin studying biology pre-vet, their classes overlapped, thus giving them the chance to meet each other. Both Abby and Gavin love being outside and are so passionate about nature. Their dates are filled with hiking, fishing, hunting and all kinds of exploring!
Gavin proposed to Abby over Thanksgiving weekend in 2022 while they were with her family in Holland, MI. Gavin told Abby that they were going birdwatching as they walked along the beach at Lake Michigan. When reaching Abby’s favorite lighthouse along the channel, Gavin proposed to her. Abby’s cousin was hiding in the rocks to capture the entire proposal on camera. How perfect is that?!!
