It was a beautiful day for Skyelar and Joseph’s wedding. We began with bride and groom getting ready at the Big Blue Bed and Breakfast, (@bigbluebnbadel) a cute little bed and breakfast located in Adel, Iowa. Skyelar and Joseph spent time with their groomsmen and bridesmaids while getting ready for the day, a time for them to bond with those closest to them before coming together to be married. Skyelar and Joseph secretly exchanged gifts before heading to the venue at The Brenton Arboretum (@thebrentonarboretum) in Dallas Center Iowa.
Just before the ceremony began, the weather turned a bit gusty. Skyelar and Joseph were getting married in the Pavilion which was open on each side of the venue, and the wind made for some laughter from all attendees trying to hold everything in place. Once the sides of the venue were lowered, a beautiful ceremony proceeded, and Skyelar and Joseph will have a small, funny moment to remember from their wedding day. Skyelar walked down the aisle in an elegant wedding dress from Azazie. The colors of her wedding were lavender and sage with bouquets in shades of purple and white with greenery.
Skyelar’s ring was designed from both Skylar’s great grandmother’s ring and Joseph’s grandmother’s ring, a combination that was beautifully unique and perfect just for these two — it took my breath away! This is such an amazing and sentimental part of their day that they will carry with them throughout their marriage.
Skyelar and Joseph, thank you for allowing me to capture your beautiful day! I wish you a lifetime of love and happiness!
