Wow! It’s been a whirlwind of photographing some pretty amazing weddings for me! I couldn’t be more blessed and honored to photograph each and every one of them. Alyssa and Ben were just the sweetest and their wedding at River View Lodge was absolutely AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL!

Alyssa and Ben’s getting ready photos were off to a hilarious start thanks to an unexpected guest – a feisty little bird with a big attitude. As we tried to step out of the room to capture some great shots, this tiny but mighty bird had other plans. With each attempt to snap a phot, the bird would swoop down and attack us, clearly defending it’s territory. We could only imagine that she was a protective momma with a nest on the building’s roof, not too pleased with our intrusion.

The unexpected bird encounter added a memorable and comical twist to Alyssa and Ben’s wedding day. Despite the challenges, we all shared a good laugh as we attempted to outsmart the determined bird and get those perfect shots. It was a moment that they would surely never forget, making their wedding day even more unique and special. Just as Alyssa and Ben were finishing their heartfelt vows and sharing their first look, the skies opened up and rain began to fall. A moment of concern washed over us and we thought about their planned outdoor ceremony. But, miraculously, it seemed like Mother Nature had a change of heart and decided to bless Alyssa and Ben’s day. As if on cue, the rain ceased, allowing us to capture some truly stunning shots of the newlyweds. The outdoor ceremony unfolded exactly as planned, surrounded by the fresh sent of rain and the glistening droplets on the leaves. Iris and Ivy‘s floral arrangements at the altar were nothing short of spectacular, adding a touch of elegance to the natural setting. Alyssa held a bouquet bursting with a vibrant mix of roses in shades of pink, peach, fuchsia, and ivory, complemented by other bright blooms and luch greenery. It was a sight to behold, truly emobdying the beauty and love of Alyssa and Ben’s special day.

Alyssa and Ben’s reception was a celebration to remember, filled with live music from the talented DJ, Vows and Vibes and a delectable meal crafted by the skilled team at Bridges Catering. Surrounded by their loving family and friends, Alyssa and Ben were truly embraced with warmth and care throughout the day. Not only was it evident how much their guests cherished and adored the newlyweds, but they also extended their kindness and support to me and my assistant. Their sweet and caring nature made the day even more special, creating an atmosphere of love and unity that truly reflected the bond shared by Alyssa and Ben with their cherished circle of loved ones.
