One of my former beautiful brides recommended me to Braelyn and I am so delighted that she did! Braelyn and Cody are just the sweetest couple and I am so excited to photograph their wedding. Braelyn is very familiar with Ledges State Park and knew that she wanted her engagement photos at this beautiful park.
Braelyn grew up on a farm outside of Marshalltown and Cody is from Bondurant and lived both in town and on the outskirts. Cody is an avid hunter and Braelyn is in her senior year of undergrad at Iowa State with a major in Animal Science and minor in Biology. She has applied to ISU’s veterinary school and she is a vet tech at a few clinics. Cody just finished electrician school and is a Journeyman electrician at Baker Group! Braelyn and Cody’s favorite weekend activities include fishing, hanging around friends and family and just being in the sunshine, as well as watching Yellowstone/1883. “Cody is the Rip to my Beth Dutton!”
The Proposal
“The proposal took place at Big Creek Park in Ankeny! My coworker has an interest in photography and wanted to take a couple of pictures for us! I totally knew he was proposing because well…he’s a horrid liar! He kept dropping subtle hints like “wow, such a nice day out, a proposal would be a nice touch to the day.” My coworker asked if there were any last poses or shots we wanted and I turned to him and he had plopped to one knee and said the sweetest things! I of course said yes!”
Another great couple that I can’t wait to photograph their big day! Enjoy a few photos from their engagement shoot at Ledges State Park!
