I think one of the most photographic places is Pella, Iowa and I was thrilled when Ashlee and Zach wanted their shoot to be in Pella. With each new session in Pella, I find new and unique areas around this beautiful little town.
Ashlee and Zach are just the sweetest and cutest couple ever! I loved this shoot beyond measures. Zach proposed to Ashlee on May 8, 2021. Ashlee had just graduated from William Penn University and the couple went out to eat with her family and friend, Teddie (Ashlee’s maid of honor). It was a chilly, rainy and windy day and Ashlee had been up since 4:30 getting ready to make the drive from Boone to Oskaloosa for graduation so she was extremely tired the evening of May 8th and just wanted to go home, but unbeknowist to Ashlee, the evening would be a memory she will never forget. The original plan was to go at night to Grey’s Lake where the light show was, but due to the weather, Zach did not want to wait that long for the light show to begin. Zach snuck off and found a garden in Altoona not too far from where they were and as they were walking around the little prairie garden, Zach proposed to Ashlee.
