Des Moines Summer Wedding
On June 13, 2020, I had the pleasure of second-shooting with Kirstie Veatch. A little about Kirstie: we happened to meet by pure chance with me inquiring about her need of a second photographer and then happily accepting, only to find we clicked even more than I had hoped! Even more coincidentally, Kirstie and I found I had attended high school with her mother – undoubtedly, the thoughtfulness and kindness that come from small towns are qualities that have been passed down to Kirstie; she is an absolutely wonderful person that works non-stop for her couples. I take great care to work with photographers who reflect my own style and personal views on weddings, and Kristie does just that: she, like me, believes nothing is more important than capturing couples’ soon-to-be most treasured moments and goes above and beyond every single wedding to ensure her couples get the best experience from their wedding.
Shooting this wedding together was truly a gift. It was filled with happiness, joy, and of course – love! The wedding party was lovely, the day a gorgeous forget-me-not blue, and the atmosphere was both exciting but relaxed. The bride and groom themselves were a lovely couple that had everyone near them giggling throughout the day from the love and pure joy that were so apparent on their faces, and I have no doubt that we captured in our photos! The ever-present warmth coming from them was a testament to the love between them. Congratulations to Erin and Ryan. Please enjoy some of my photos of the day!
